Patina is an upcoming Framer Marketplace template designed for estate sale and auction house businesses. The template uses a dark near-black base with amber accents and warm cream as a third surface colour, creating a visual language that communicates heritage, trust, and high value. Key pages include Homepage, Auctions CMS, Past Results CMS, Services, How It Works, Team, Blog CMS, FAQ, and Contact.
The approach
The dark near-black base was chosen to evoke the gravitas of antique auction houses while the amber accents introduced warmth and energy. A single visual mode with no light/dark toggle kept the design intent intact. The Register to Bid CTA was built as a master component linking to external auction platforms like AuctionNinja and LiveAuctioneers.
The outcome
Patina filled a gap in the Framer Marketplace for auction and estate sale businesses, a niche with almost no quality template options. The dark editorial aesthetic positioned it as the premium choice for high-end auction houses looking to establish a serious digital presence.
