The Relationship Room is a counselling practice based in New Zealand offering support for couples and individuals navigating relationship challenges. The brief called for a site that felt warm, safe, and professional without being clinical. A rose-toned palette was chosen to communicate warmth and approachability, paired with editorial typography to establish trust.
The approach
The design approach centred on creating a sense of calm from the first scroll. Soft rose tones, generous white space, and Cormorant Garamond headings were used to set an inviting tone. A full journal CMS was built with 10 articles to give the practice an ongoing content presence. Midjourney-generated imagery ensured diverse subject representation throughout.
The outcome
The client received a complete, publish-ready website with a working journal CMS, SEO metadata across all pages, and a component library that made future updates easy to manage without a developer.
